According to this Apple website document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937 the new iPhone 5 will be locked to SK but will be available unlocked through Olleh.
Can anyone confirm this through an SK store?
I think this is strange because prior to the iPhone 5 it was the reverse, I remember the iPhone 4S being unlocked under contract through SK and locked through Olleh.
I need to know because I'm looking to upgrade to the new iPhone but am with SK and want it unlocked for when I travel.
Hey all, my wife and I are unfortunately leaving Korea suddenly due to a family emergency and I have a cell phone question I'm trying to get some answers on. My wife purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note a few months back with Olleh and as we are now leaving, we're not sure if we can get it unlocked for use in the USA or if we should just sell if off before we go.
The iPhone 5 goes on sale in the States September 21st. Anyone heard or read about when it is coming to Korea? I'd assume it might be a while. I have been hanging on to my iPhone3 for too long in anticipation for the 5.
Please post links to Korean blogs/sites of news of the release.
Please keep this thread to iPhone 5 release comments only. Please don't clutter this forum with "just by a galaxy 3" or "iphone sucks" etc...
I gave my I-phone 3Gs to my daughter. After that, I couldn't update my apps on my I-phone 4s.
(1) When I try to update my apps, my old id comes up. But the problem is that I have a new id so when I try to enter the pw for my old id, it isn't accepted.
What can I do?
(2) Also, how can I upload content from my PC to I-Cloud?
Does anyone know of an Olympus store in Busan? I'm trying to get a specific item that isn't on Gmarket and, for some reason, isnt' for sale from olympus.co.kr
I've hit up a couple random camera shops but without luck.
I have my internet connection in a Korean friend's name because when I arrived this time for my new job my school wouldn't open the account for me. I was told I had to wait for my ARC. But, as I mentioned, I had a Korean friend who was willing to open the account for me and I just had to pay them.
I'm hoping theres someone wo knows the cell phone biz over here well enough to give me some info about unlocking phones and transferring.
1. Is it possible to deregister my smart phone from my current contract and to link a different phone to the contract instead (then sell the smart phone - or give it to someone else to register with their own number?)
2. If you transfer your contract to someone else, is it possible to keep your number? (And how does that work - is it as simple as going to the store together and just changing the info on the system?)
So I have a samsung flip phone with keypad type thing and I managed to press the # button one to many times. This has lock on it and now the keypad is locked. It says I need a 4 digit code to unlock it. I have tried most of the common ones after searching google - 1234, 0000, 1122 etc. but nothing works! I can receive calls but i cannot use my phone as the keypad is locked. Very frustarating! the phoen belonged to my director but she doesn't know the code and despite taking the phone almost to buts i cannot find even a reset button! argh!
I'm a university student from Kyungsung. I love FIFA 12 but none of my friends play FIFA. I'm looking for friends to play FIFA 12 together as all the Koreans only play Winning Eleven.
If you play FIFA12, and you are looking for having fun playing friendly matches, please contact me at [email protected]
